These resources could save you considerable time and money. For example, the Email Templates and Useful Phrases cover every aspect of scientific correspondence - you simply cut and paste any relevant text into your own email and then make any minor personalizations.
The Guidelines will also considerably increase your chances of having a paper published or arousing real interest in your presentation at a congress. They will also help you to improve your skills of Socializing at conferences or using the Telephone by teaching you a variety of tactics for dealing with native English speakers.
University Departments and Research Institutes can take out an annual subscription giving anyone within the department or institute unlimited access via a password to such resources.
